The perfect 12 Days Morocco Tour Itinerary:

Day 1:Arrive in Casablanca - Rabat

According to your flight time, we will be waiting for you in front of Casablanca Airport, and then we start our 12-day Morocco Tour from Casablanca. Afterward, we will have time to visit Mosque Hassan II. Later, we will go on to Rabat where you will spend the 1st night of our 12-day ultimate Morocco Tour.

Today, we will embark on a city tour that includes a drive around the walls of the Royal Palace, a visit to the Mausoleums of Mohammad V and Hassan II, a self-guided walk through the old walled city, and the marvelous Oudayas Kasbah.

Subsequently, we will start our drive towards Asillah It has a very long history, controlled as it was by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Carthaginians, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabs. Asilah was given its name by the Arabs, though the Romans knew it as Constancia, the Phoenician – Zilis. The biggest draw for visitors is the clean, well-kept medina, perhaps the most pristine in Morocco. Its white streets with blue plinths are adorned by the flowers of locals who decorate their houses, making a stroll here a relaxing experience.

Afterward, we will have a stop at the Herucle caves, Cape Spartel, and the seaside. Once we arrive in Tangier, we will have a visit to the Kasbah (old medina of Tangier).

We will start our drive towards the blue city “Chefchaouen”, After 2 hours of driving, we will reach Chefchaouen, where you will start visiting the old Medina, Outa-el-Hammam Square, Jewish Quarter, etc. In addition, you will see a wide variety of artisan shops, restaurants with terraces, and cafés where you can enjoy, relax, and eat. Free time in Chefchaouen and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Today, we will start our journey through the Rif Mountains straight to Roman ruins. Volubilis (a UNESCO World Heritage Site): Afterward, we will extend our trip to explore Meknes City. Begin with a short walk in Lahdim Square. After that, we will see the Bab-Mansour, the biggest cultural gate in Morocco. Later, the Sahrij Basin and Heri-Esswani. In the late afternoon, we will head to our destination, “Fes“.

Begin your day in Fes by exploring the historic district of Fes el Jedid. This part of the city is home to the royal palace, known for its impressive Moroccan architecture. In the same area, you’ll also discover the Mellah, the heart of Fes’ Jewish heritage, which has rich cultural and historical significance.

Afterward, we’ll venture to one of Fes’ fortresses, where you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. This vantage point provides a unique perspective on the city’s geographical layout, adding to the richness of your experience.

To immerse yourself further in the local culture, we’ll make a stop at a local pottery and mosaic co-op. Here, you can witness artisans at work, creating the famous pottery and mosaics that Fes is renowned for. Finally, we’ll conclude the day with a visit to Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This well-preserved medieval Medina has remained virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages and offers a captivating journey back in time through its labyrinthine streets, historic architecture, and vibrant markets.

Today we will travel to the Sahara desert of Merzouga, On our way we will explore a list of attractions like Ifrane, known as “Moroccan Switzerland”. We’ll be stopping at the Cedar Forest to see the monkeys swing among the trees. Subsequently, proceed towards the south, traversing the vast palm groves and oasis towns of southern Moroccos Ziz Valley, which can be reached via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Then continue to the city of Erfoud, known for its fossil museums and dates.
 
Upon our arrival in the Merzouga Desert, we will embark on a camel ride adventure, where we will experience a mystical sunset over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Following the sunset, we will have dinner and spend the night in the desert, staying at a desert luxury camp, beneath a magnificently clear and starry sky. After dinner, we will have fun at a Berber party set to the rhythm of drums and have an overnight stay.

Today, you will have a great chance to see the sunrise in the middle of the sand dunes. Then, We will explore the most interesting Merzouga desert surroundings. Firstly, we will visit the Nomads. who still live simple lives under tents and by raising camels, goats, and sheep. We will spend some time with them and discover their lifestyle. Then, we will leave for Mifiss’s mine of plumb. Further, on the discovery trip will travel to Khamlia, a small village that is about 5 km from Merzouga.

Here, you will discover another lifestyle of Gnaouas they kept their unique traditions. We will also, visit the panoramic view of Galb Nass, the 4WD Cars Museum, and the desert Oases. Lunch will be in a local restaurant where you will try Berber pizza as a part of the adventure. In the afternoon, you have time for leisure and an overnight stay in a Hotel/Riad in the Merzouga desert.

Today, we’ll head to Rissani, where we’ll stroll around the town and its historic market. The journey continues to many more Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, a village that is famous for its ancient irrigation wells. We’ll next move on to Todra Valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the overnight night. 

After breakfast, a visit to the Dades gorges and a short walk there is scheduled. Back at the car, the trip to Ouarzazate continues, We will continue through the Valley of the Roses, famous for its Rose Festival in May. Cosmetics and toiletry items are produced and valued throughout the country. In Skoura and the oasis there, we will visit the Kasbah of Amridil. The kasbah has been beautifully restored and gives a clear idea of life within such housing. It is made entirely of adobe, an excellent building material; warm in winter and cool in summer due to the thickness of the walls. 45 minutes later, you reach Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Atlas studio and have a short look at Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Following our visit to Ouarzazate, we will drive approximately 27 kilometers and arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This remarkable location has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood productions such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and more. The Kasbahs, or fortresses, showcase the unique and exotic Moroccan architecture and culture. After our exploration of the kasbah, we’ll continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the “Tichka pass,” eventually leading us to Marrakech.

Following a delicious breakfast, our day will be dedicated to exploring the highlights of Marrakesh under the guidance of a local expert. Marrakesh holds the distinction of being one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Our comprehensive tour will encompass visits to significant landmarks, including the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque, and a leisurely stroll through Morocco’s most extensive traditional souk. You’ll have some free time to savor lunch in the vicinity of the bustling Jemaa El-Fna square.

In the afternoon, we will continue our journey with visits to the impressive Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakesh, and the enchanting Majorelle garden. To conclude the day, we will provide a convenient transfer to your accommodation, and you’re welcome to explore the vibrant Jemaa El-Fna square at your own pace.

Today, following your departure flight timetable, we will head towards Casablanca airport, where we will finish our 12-day Best of Morocco Tour Itinerary.
