Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Depart early from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m).
Stop for photos and visit a women’s argan oil cooperative. Continue to Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco’s best-preserved fortified ksar and UNESCO site, known from films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, drive through Ouarzazate and along the Valley of Roses toward the Dades Gorge, famous for its twisted rock formations.
Overnight: Kasbah hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 2 – Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Desert)
After breakfast, continue to the majestic Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs create Morocco’s most photogenic canyon.
Then travel toward Erfoud and Rissani, the gateway to the Sahara.
Arrive at Merzouga in the late afternoon and ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset.
Dinner, live drumming, and stargazing await in your luxury Sahara camp.
Overnight: Luxury desert camp (ensuite tent).
Day 3 – Merzouga → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Wake early to watch sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, ride camels back or transfer by 4×4 to meet your driver.
Drive through the desert landscape of Alnif and Nkob, following the Draa Valley, filled with palm groves and kasbahs.
Continue past Ouarzazate and return to Marrakech by evening.
Tour ends with drop-off at your riad or hotel.
