Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1 – Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel in Agadir early in the morning as your Sahara journey begins. The road leads through the Souss Valley toward Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech,” where you can admire its ancient ramparts and local markets. Continuing east, you will pass through Taliouine, Morocco’s famous saffron region, before crossing spectacular mountain landscapes toward Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert.
After a photo stop near the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah, the journey continues along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the beautiful Dades Valley. This region is known for dramatic rock formations and lush palm groves contrasting with desert scenery.
Overnight: Boutique riad or hotel in Dades Valley.
DAY 2 – Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
After breakfast, you will travel toward the magnificent Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise over 300 meters high. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the cool river atmosphere before continuing deeper into the desert landscape.
By late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Here begins your camel trek into the Sahara Desert, crossing the dunes as the sun sets over the horizon — one of Morocco’s most unforgettable experiences.
At the desert camp, you will enjoy traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber music around the fire, and a peaceful night beneath the stars.
Overnight: Luxury or standard desert camp in Merzouga.
Day 3 – Merzouga → Alnif → Taznakht → Agadir
Wake early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village where your driver awaits. The journey back to Agadir takes you through Alnif and Taznakht, known for its traditional Berber carpets and desert landscapes.
Arrival back in Agadir is expected in the evening.
End of Tour.
