4 Days Tour From Fes to Marrakech Morocco Itinerary:

Day 1:Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

We will start our Fes to Marrakech 4 Days desert tour departing from your Hotel/Riad in Fes, leaving towards the “Moroccan Switzerland” of Ifrane, We’ll be stopping at the Cedar forest later to watch the monkeys play in the trees. The next step is to go across the Middle Atlas Mountains to the Ziz Valley, home to some of the most extensive palm groves and oasis communities in all of southern Morocco. The city of Erfoud is the next stop on our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. Finally, we will make it to the Merzouga desert where you will spend the first night at an authentic Riad.

Today, after breakfast, we are going to have a Merzouga discovery tour. We will visit the areas of the desert that are the most interesting. To begin, we will go to an area inhabited by Nomads, who traditionally make their living by herding animals such as camels, goats, and sheep. We are going to spend some time with them to have a better understanding of their way of life. After that, we will travel to the plumb mine of Mifiss. We will also travel to Khamlia, which is a little town located around 5 kilometers away from Merzouga. In this section, you’ll gain knowledge about one more aspect of the Gnaoua way of life. They remained true to their customs. You will get knowledge regarding a great many additional locations.

In the afternoon, you will take a camel ride for around 1 hour and thirty minutes to reach the desert camp. While on the camel ride, you will stop amid the dunes to watch the sunset, try sandboarding (which is optional), snap pictures, and take in the surroundings… When the sun has set, you will continue to the camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, where you will have supper, a campfire, and a music party, and where you will spend the night in a luxury desert camp in Merzouga, with breakfast and dinner included.

Today, be sure to get up early to see the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a morning meal and shower at the desert camp, you’ll be returned to Merzouga Village by camel or 4×4. We’ll get in the car and head to Rissani, where we’ll stroll around the town and its historic market.

The journey continues to many more Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, a village that is famous for its ancient irrigation wells. We’ll next move on to Todra valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades valley where we will spend the overnight night.

Today, we’ll take a trip to Ouarzazate, passing through the Roses Valley and the Skoura oasis on our way to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is 27 kilometers outside of Ouarzazate and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its beautiful landscapes have been used in many Hollywood movies, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more. Kasbahs, which are fortified palaces, is a good example of how different the architecture and culture of Morocco are. After we’re done looking at the kasbah, we’ll drive through the “Tichka pass” in the Atlas Mountains and end our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech.
