Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Fes

Meet your driver at the airport and settle into your riad. Depending on your arrival time, explore the medina, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Blue Gate.
Overnight: Riad in Fes.

Full-day city tour with a certified local guide. Visit the Royal Palace gates, Al-Karaouine University, tanneries, Nejjarine Museum, and artisan quarters.
Evening free to enjoy Moroccan cuisine or a rooftop view of the old city.

Depart through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, Morocco’s clean alpine town, then continue through cedar forests near Azrou, home to Barbary monkeys.
Lunch in Midelt, then continue south through the Ziz Valley to reach Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Camel trek into the desert for sunset. Dinner, music, and starlight.
Overnight: Luxury Sahara camp (ensuite tent).

After sunrise, explore by 4×4:

  • Visit Khamlia Village for Gnawa music

  • Meet nomadic families in the black tents

  • Visit fossil fields and palm oases
    Return to your camp or riad for relaxation and sandboarding.

Leave the Sahara after breakfast. Drive toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge, where 300-meter cliffs tower above the river.
Continue to the Dades Valley, following the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.”
Overnight: Kasbah hotel in Dades Valley.

Drive west through the Valley of Roses to Ouarzazate, nicknamed “Hollywood of Africa.”
Visit the Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah (optional).
Continue to the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a timeless desert fortress used in many films.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to reach Marrakech by evening.
Overnight: Riad in Marrakech.

Join your local guide for a morning tour of Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and the bustling souks.
Enjoy lunch in the medina or garden café. Transfer to airport or hotel for departure.
