Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1 – Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Your journey begins with pick-up from your hotel in Agadir. Travel through the fertile Souss Valley toward Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech.” Continue across the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert.
After visiting the Kasbah area, continue through the Valley of Roses and arrive in Dades Valley for the evening.

DAY 2 – Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
After breakfast, drive through dramatic rock formations and palm groves toward Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise over 300 meters. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge before continuing toward Erfoud and the edge of the Sahara.
In Merzouga, you’ll switch to camels for a sunset trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at your desert camp in time for dinner and traditional Amazigh music under the stars.

DAY 3 – Merzouga Desert Experience
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village. Explore the desert region, visit Khamlia village (famous for Gnawa music), and experience nomadic culture. The afternoon is relaxed before settling into your accommodation.

DAY 4 – Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Nkob → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate
Depart the desert and travel through Rissani’s traditional market town. Continue through Alnif and Nkob before entering the beautiful Draa Valley — Morocco’s longest oasis filled with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

DAY 5 – Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar used in many films. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass with scenic stops along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

DAY 6 – Guided Visit of Marrakech
Enjoy a guided exploration of Marrakech, including Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks of the Medina. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna square.

DAY 7 – Marrakech → Rabat → Chefchaouen (Blue City)
After breakfast, travel north toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Visit highlights such as the Hassan Tower and Oudayas Kasbah before continuing through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city.

DAY 8 – Chefchaouen → Casablanca
Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen’s charming blue streets before driving south toward Casablanca. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque overlooking the Atlantic Ocean before the tour concludes.

Yes, some days include scenic long drives, especially Day 7. Stops are included for comfort and sightseeing.
What type of desert camp is included?
The standard tour includes a traditional desert camp with private tents and shared or private bathroom facilities depending on availability. A luxury camp upgrade with private bathroom and enhanced comfort is available upon request.
Is camel trekking mandatory?
No. Camel trekking is included, but if you prefer, you can reach the desert camp by 4×4 vehicle instead.
What should we pack for the Sahara?
Comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a light jacket for cooler desert evenings are recommended. In winter months, warmer clothing is advised.
