Day-by-Day Itinerary

DAY 1 – Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

Your journey begins with pick-up from your hotel in Agadir. Travel through the fertile Souss Valley toward Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech.” Continue across the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert.

After visiting the Kasbah area, continue through the Valley of Roses and arrive in Dades Valley for the evening.

Overnight: Hotel in Dades Valley

After breakfast, drive through dramatic rock formations and palm groves toward Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise over 300 meters. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge before continuing toward Erfoud and the edge of the Sahara.

In Merzouga, you’ll switch to camels for a sunset trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at your desert camp in time for dinner and traditional Amazigh music under the stars.

Overnight: Sahara Desert Camp in Merzouga

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village. Explore the desert region, visit Khamlia village (famous for Gnawa music), and experience nomadic culture. The afternoon is relaxed before settling into your accommodation.

Overnight: Hotel in Merzouga

Depart the desert and travel through Rissani’s traditional market town. Continue through Alnif and Nkob before entering the beautiful Draa Valley — Morocco’s longest oasis filled with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

Overnight: Hotel in Ouarzazate

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar used in many films. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass with scenic stops along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Overnight: Riad in Marrakech

Enjoy a guided exploration of Marrakech, including Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks of the Medina. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna square.

Overnight: Riad in Marrakech

After breakfast, travel north toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Visit highlights such as the Hassan Tower and Oudayas Kasbah before continuing through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city.

Overnight: Riad in Chefchaouen

Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen’s charming blue streets before driving south toward Casablanca. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque overlooking the Atlantic Ocean before the tour concludes.
