Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Errachidia → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Desert)
Your driver greets you at Errachidia airport or hotel in the morning. Begin by crossing the fertile Ziz Valley, lined with thousands of date palms and traditional mud-brick villages. Stop for photos and tea with local families along the way.
By afternoon, you arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. Here, your camel caravan awaits to carry you over golden sands to your luxury desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, followed by live drumming and storytelling by the campfire.
Overnight: Luxury Sahara camp (private ensuite tent).
Day 2 – Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
Wake before sunrise for a once-in-a-lifetime view as light spreads across the dunes. After breakfast, travel west through Rissani, an ancient caravan market town, then drive to the towering Todra Gorge, where 300-meter red rock walls rise on each side of a clear stream.
You can walk along the canyon floor, meet climbers, and take stunning photos.
Continue through the Dades Valley, known for its “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and village terraces carved into the hills.

Day 3 – Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech
After breakfast, drive the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and home of the Atlas Film Studios. Tour the famous movie sets or simply enjoy the kasbah architecture.
Next, visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Ksar, a stunning earthen fortified village featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Walk the narrow alleys to the hilltop granary for panoramic views.
Finally, cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to reach Marrakech by early evening. Drop-off at your riad or hotel.
