Day 1:Arrive in Casablanca - Marrakech

Today’s adventure takes us through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, revealing the hidden beauty of Berber villages harmoniously blending into the surroundings. Our next destination is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking Kasbah, which we’ll ascend for panoramic vistas. This Kasbah has played a starring role in countless Hollywood films, including “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Gladiator.” These majestic fortresses embody Morocco’s architectural heritage. After immersing ourselves in the Kasbah’s charm, we’ll continue our journey to Ouarzazate.

As we press on, we’ll traverse the road of thousands Kasbahs and Oasis, leading us to a sprawling valley adorned with a small, picturesque oasis and ancient forts. Our path leads us to the Roses Valley, a place of captivating allure. After a drive of around 50 minutes, we’ll reach our destination, Boumalne Dades, where a night of authentic lodging awaits, accompanied by a delicious dinner and breakfast.

Today, our journey starts as we head towards the Merzouga desert. Our first stop will be at Todra Gorges, where you’ll have the opportunity to freely explore and admire the stunning grand canyons and the green Todra valley. We’ll pass through several Berber towns along the way, like Tinjdad, Mellab, Jorf, and Erfoud, so you can take in the splendor of Tafilalte Oasis and its lush palm trees.

As we proceed to the Sahara desert Merzouga, you’ll find a waiting caravan of camels ready to offer you the ultimate experience in the Erg Chebbi dunes. The camel ride will be around 2H with a sunset break, allowing you to hike through the captivating Merzouga sand dunes. On the way to the authentic desert camp, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the sunset in the Sahara. You can also try Sandboarding (optional)

Once you arrive at your destination, a warm welcome with tea and smiles awaits you. After eating a good meal, you can relax by the campfire and listen to Berber music under the stars. The adventure concludes with a Desert Glamping experience.

Today, you will have a chance to see a beautiful sunrise over the Merzouga sand dunes. Then, your camel guide will take you back to the Merzouga village to meet your driver. We’ll start our drive to Fes by going through the city of Errachidia.  Along the way, we’ll stop to see the view of the Ziz Valley, and then we’ll keep going to Midelt. After lunch, we will keep driving to the Cedar Forest to see the Barbary macaque and the Grand Cedar Forest. Our next stop will be Ifrane, and we will spend a little time there. Then we keep going until we get to Fez, where you will have an overnight stay.

Today is dedicated to discovering the cultural city of Fes and local life in the Medina through visiting various markets such as food, leather goods, clothing, and craft markets. Then visit the city’s most historic landmarks, such as Najjariine, the Wood Art Museum, and the Tannery, where you can learn about the completely handmade tanning process that hasn’t changed since the Middle Ages.
 
In addition, you will admire the beauty of Madrasa (Islamic school) architecture like Madrasa Bou-Anania, visit the oldest university of Al Quaraouiyin, and then visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. Furthermore, our guided tour of Fes will give you a chance to taste the street food eaten by the locals and also a valuable opportunity to strike up a conversation with the locals.

Today, we will head towards the blue city of Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains. On our way, we will have time to discover the Roman ruins of Volubilis. After that, we will start our journey. Upon arrival in the city of Chefchaouen, you will have free time to discover the best places to visit, eat, and see. 

Firstly, take a stroll through the streets and alleyways of Medina to explore the whitewashed walls and beautiful blue buildings and doors. Then wander through the old town market. We will also stop in the main square of Chefchaouen. Furthermore, you will have the chance to see the Ras Elma River, which flows through the old city. 

On day 8 of our Morocco 9 Days itinerary from Casablanca, the day starts with an early rise in Chefchaouen, allowing ample time to explore its enchanting streets. Following that, our journey leads us to Rabat, where you’ll have the chance to discover captivating sites like the Mohamed 5 mausoleum, the iconic Hassan Tower, and the Oudayas Kasbah, among others.
